Random JS experiments
This domain is where I store all my programming experiments, as
well as a few file buckets. Be aware that many or most of these are
proof-of-concept only, and may work in all, some, or no browsers at
all. (Some of these rely on features or services that no longer
exist.)

- 2023-06-11: An interactive visualization
of complex number multiplication
via power sequences (iterated multiplication).
- 2023-03-23: sum1337,
a math grid game. (Sumplete knockoff.)
- 2022-01-23: A little tool to create ICS
calendar files for simple lists of all-day events. These
files can then be statically hosted for people to subscribe to.
- 2021-11-14: I recently bought a new flip phone because 3G was
being turned off. Unfortunately, it has a web browser that almost
works. (I don't want the internet in my pocket. Too tempting.) I
can almost use Google Maps or OpenStreetMap, though, which
would actually be useful. So I wrote
a tiny map page that uses
OpenStreetMap tiles and some compact keyboard-accessible controls;
it's just barely usable on the phone and pretty much exactly fills
the screen. Out of nostalgia, I also wrote
something screen-filling but also
keyboard-accessible, more of an original-Google-Maps feel.
Undated things
Sorry about the GPL license on many of these older files -- I
know now that that's pretty questionable for Javascript, but many of
these are old experiments and I haven't bothered to
clean up the licenses. I'd be very happy to figure out proper licenses
upon inquiry.
Geohashing
I used to maintain geohash.info on a separate domain, but now
it's here to save on domain costs and
simplify hosting.
Broken or obsolete
I mean, some of the others are too, but these *definitely* are.
Random crap
- Road Ragers: Perhaps if I note
their license plates here, I'll help someone else who encounters
them make the call on whether to file a police report.
